GosuGamers has announced the launch of its GosuBattles Grant Programme in India and the Philippines, an initiative designed to provide financial assistance, operational guidance, and visibility for grassroots esports tournament organisers. The programme officially went live on 14 July 2025.
Boosting Grassroots Esports in Asia
The GosuBattles platform is GosuGamers’ proprietary tournament system, enabling organisers to easily manage competitions for popular titles like Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
By streamlining player registration, match reporting, bracket management, and post-event content, GosuBattles allows community leaders and amateur tournament operators to focus on creating meaningful esports experiences rather than wrestling with technical challenges.
What the Grant Programme Offers
Through the new grant programme, organisers in India and the Philippines can access funding to cover:
- Prize pools for players
- Technical setup and tournament infrastructure
- Community outreach campaigns
- Content production and post-event coverage
The grants are scale-based, larger tournaments with higher participation and sign-ups can receive more funding. Additionally, GosuGamers will amplify selected events via its content channels, giving grassroots competitions extra reach and exposure.
Gosu Community Series (GCS) Honor of Kings Philippines Cup (1v1)
- Format & Scale: The GCS HoK PH Cup featured a 1v1 tournament format. It launched on 24 April 2025 (with 5v5 matches following on 1 May).
- Target Audience: This format is ideal for individual community-driven participation, perfect for players looking to compete solo on a grassroots level.
- Support & Amplification: As part of the GosuBattles ecosystem, these tournaments are hosted on GosuBattles and benefit from platform support and visibility, amplified through GosuGamers’ content and distribution channels.
GCS Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (“GCS MLBB”) Philippines & Malaysia Cups
- Philippines (Jan & Feb 2024 Cups):
- The GCS MLBB January 2024 Cup featured 32 teams, a 41,300 Diamonds total prize pool, and included both best‑of‑one and best‑of‑three elimination stages.
- In the February 2024 edition, registration demand doubled from 32 to 64 teams, indicating substantial community uptake and scale.
